Smarter Travel Sutton is supporting London's Sky Ride on Sunday, 5 September 2010.
There will be a marked route through London that will be closed to traffic for cyclists. There will also be a number of entertaining activities taking place in London on the day, which are free to all and ideal for a family day out, as well as free guided rides into London.
There are 2 guided rides leaving from Sutton:
Manor Park, Sutton to Buckingham Gate, leaving at 8.30am
Westcroft Leisure Centre, Carshalton to Buckingham Gate, leaving at 9am
The guided rides will be led by trained marshals and are suitable for cyclists of all levels, from beginners to the more experienced riders. Anyone wishing to participate will need to register for the rides on the website.
For more information about everything that is going on over the summer, not just in London but across the country, including all the latest Sky Ride news, registration for guided rides, volunteering, riding for charity, advice and fashion tips for cyclists and much more go to www.goskyride.com

Improving Travel in Wallington
Public consultation period now extended to run until 30 September 2010!
In partnership with the local community, proposals for Wallington Town Centre and the surrounding area have been developed which we hope reflects what you’ve told us you’d like to see.
A public consultation on these proposals is now open, running from 10th July 2010 to 30th September 2010.
A public exhibition will be held at Wallington Library from Saturday 17th July to Thursday 30th September during library opening hours. At the exhibition you will be able to review the plans for Wallington and comment via a questionnaire.
